Directions to the DZ Academy from the San Antonio Airport:
The travel time from the San Antonio Airport is approximately 50 minutes. From the San Antonio Airport, take Loop 410 West to IH-10. Take IH-10 West all the way to the first Comfort exit (exit #524) 16 miles past Boerne. Curve left over the interstate and go over the Guadalupe River bridge into Comfort. Travel about a half mile on Hwy 27 to 7th Street and turn right. THERE IS NO STREET SIGN FOR 7th ON THE RIGHT - your landmark is the Wells Fargo Bank on the left -- turn the opposite direction from it. The Academy is housed in a light tan, large, two-story stucco building with a big parking lot directly in front of it. The Academy entrance is the third door down (past the canopied double door entrance with the ramp). The physical address of the Academy is 609 7th Street, Comfort TX, 78013.
Comfort Directions to Meyer Bed & Breakfast and/or the Hotel Faust:
After crossing the Guadalupe River bridge, stay left headed West on Hwy 27. You will pass a large grain elevator on your right in town. Almost immediately on your left is 8th Street. Turn left. The 8th & High intersection is also the best turn if you are going to either the Meyer Bed and Breakfast or the Hotel Faust. When you have come only this one block to High St. and the Historic District from Highway 27, you either turn left for the Meyer Bed and Breakfast (down about a block) or turn right for the Hotel Faust (one-half block).
Directions to the DZ Academy for Texans coming from the North or West:
If you are coming in on IH-10 from the West, take the first Comfort exit which is just past North Creek Road and about 18 miles from Kerrville (exit #523). This is Hwy 87 South (which flows down from Fredericksburg), and it will take you into town past the Dairy Queen, lumber yard, Dollar General, etc. You will drive through an intersection with a traffic light, and then there will be a Y in the road. Curve to your right, driving past a grain elevator on your left, and then you will immediately come up to a stop sign which is at Hwy 27.
Take a right on Hwy 27, and then the first street on your right will be 7th Street. THERE IS NO STREET SIGN FOR 7th ON THE RIGHT - your landmark is the Wells Fargo Bank on the left.
