Learn to use Dinah Zike's Foldables^R and Visual Kinesthetic Vocabulary (VKV^TM) manipulatives as vital literacy tools in building connections between reading and writing. This institute will present a clear focus on connecting literature to subjects across the curriculum.
Foldables^R are tools used to help students:

develop deep, lasting understanding of content material by re-coding text and graphics, including electronic media and real-world print
connect what they read to what they can produce in written and visual formats
manipulate the building blocks of language through VKVs^TM
